The Stone Dialectic

Symbology is the most prolific form of communication known to mankind. Symbols surround us, everywhere. They are so ubiquitous that we naturally communicate through them without even knowing.

Ancient symbols were outlines of shapes with no inner color. As an example, the symbol for Sol, our star – the sun:

You may have recognized this symbol. It is used by modern business as a trademark.

The lines are thicker and colored red. But this Trademark for Target stores is the same exact symbol. This is why symbology is so important. Eons prior to any written language, symbols provided a form of communication that was easily interpreted by all people no matter what language they spoke.

The following depicts the ancient symbol for God.

Now can you see the correlation of symbols which represent the Son (Sun, Sol) of God? This is what we are dealing with and that is why there are so many confusing misrepresentations. It is difficult, at best, to reconcile symbology with the written word.

The reality is that throughout time, those people who are not familiar with the meaning of symbols interpret them verbatim. The symbol for Sol became a trademark for Target.

Many other symbols are unrecognized by contemporary cultures who have been engaged in utilizing alphabetic glyphs to facilitate the dialectic of verbiage. This characteristic is intrinsic to all written languages. Symbols tell a story. Letters gives us words. And those words have syllables, and distinct pronunciations, which vary from region to region based on dialect and accent. Symbols remain the same, regardless.

Therefore, to the uninitiated, the symbol for Sol is interpreted as a target. This is the verbatim interpretation most people make. They are interpreting the symbol as if it was a word, or group of words, and this does not express the true meaning of the symbol.

So, as Ezra is rewriting the Torah from memory he is interpreting symbols from his memory of the scrolls written by Moses. Also, there is another source that he turned to for help. 5 Priesthood scribes.

By using this system parts of the original meaning were lost and we are provided with words that express a different understanding than originally intended. This is why so many ancient representations that utilize symbology are consistently misinterpreted which leads to an historic misunderstanding by everyone exposed to the unintended misrepresentation.

That misunderstanding is not only providing misinformation but, over time as the story line becomes accepted as factual it provides the basis upon which most people will build their foundational knowledge.

I’m not stating that Holy Scripture is wrong. What I am saying is that portions of it have been misinterpreted. God provides remedy for this. In reverence, and with real intent, pray to Him in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, and He will answer you.

Ask Him if there is truth in what I am communicating.

In my next post I will explain how Holy Scripture actually records three global flood events.
